What is Streaming Video?

Streaming video allows video content to be delivered from a remote  server  to any internet connected device 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  The video is not downloaded to the device but the video is streamed from the server to the device once the viewer presses the play button.   In most situations, the video can be accessed simultaniously.

Streaming videos can be embedded into course management systems (i.e. Moodle)

The James White Library offers streaming video to Andrews University students, faculty, and staff.   Videos are cataloged in the the library's catalog and can be accessed 24/7.

For the Faculty / Course Developers:

Not all video is available for streaming.  Please look at the titles offered by the vendors / distributors listed in this libguide.  Some of these distributors offer videos from different producers. (i.e.  Kanopy offers videos from, Media Education Foundation, PBS, New Day Films, and others)
